Letter of thanks

I would like to report that our 2nd annual classic car show was a great success.

The sun shone for us and 67 lovely classic cars joined us for the big day.

2012 Rover P4 Drivers Guild Show

We must have had every make of car possible from 1926 to 1992, cars which were a credit to their owners.

This year we were also joined by an original Routemaster London bus which proved to be very popular with old and young alike!

Our chosen charity this year was the Sidmouth Lifeboat, this is a self funding lifeboat and gets no money from the RNLI and we are please to say we will be presenting them with a cheque for £500.00 which makes all the work worthwhile.

The Rover P4 Drivers Guild Devon branch members and their ladies worked very hard, I would like to take this opportunity to thank them one and all.

Special thanks go to our show committee Ken Newton,Tony Brewster and Colin “Curly” Newton (and his foam rubber house brick!) they have been a great team and did a sterling job.

I would like to thank all the people who attended our show and helped to create that special atmosphere we seem to get each year, you are such a friendly bunch of people thank-you all.

Finally, thank-you to my dear wife Carol, who on the run up to the show put up with me either vanishing to orgainse things, be stuck on the phone or computer or all three!

We look forward to welcoming you all to or show in 2013!

Regards and Happy Rovering
